It’s clear to see why Kate Upton is one of Sports Illustrated’s favorite swimsuit supermodels.

The 21-year-old turned heads as she stepped out for NBC and Time Inc.’s 50th anniversary celebration of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood Tuesday (Jan. 14). Upton looked stunning in the black dress with a plunging neckline and gold piping, accessorized with simple diamond jewelry, as she posed for photos on the red carpet.

The New York Post’s Page Six spilled details of the blond beauty’s feature in the 2014 issue. She was reportedly photographed in a bikini in “zero gravity space.” Wearing a silver swimsuit, she supposedly looked like “something out of ‘Barbarella,'” the 1968 sci-fi flick starring Jane Fonda.

Upton wasn’t the only stunner in attendance Tuesday night. Christie Brinkley, 59, wowed in an LBD, while Heidi Klum opted for a red leather trench coat. Other famous faces included Chrissy Teigen, Tyra Banks, Marissa Miller and Ireland Baldwin.
