Meade is an anchor of HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade” based in CNN Center in Atlanta since 2001. She is the longest running anchor of a national morning TV news show.
During her tenure, her most notable assignments include: jumping out of a perfectly good plane with President George HW Bush (2009) on live tv, covering the inaugurations of President Obama (2013) & President Trump (2017) on location, and hosting “Ask Oprah’s All Stars” at the mogul’s request to help kick off the OWN network (2011). Robin has hosted the Daytime Emmy’s (2013), CMT’s “Disaster Relief Telethon and “Accent Health” with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
Prior to joining HLN, she anchored and reported at Miami’s WSVN, Columbus’ WCMH, Cleveland’s WJW & Mansfield’s WMFD. She also worked at NBC Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV where she started anchoring the morning newscasts and then co-anchored the weekend newscasts and also served as a general assignment correspondent for the station. During her tenure with the NBC affiliate, she covered the 1996 Olympics, which included special reporting on the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.
