The Skater debuted in the senior championship and won gold medal in Italy. She finished fifth in the short program, third in the free skate, and third overall in this competition, earning three personal best scores. She also won the team event with Team Japan. Higuchi started the season on the Grand Prix circuit at the 2021 Skate Canada International, where she finished fifth in both programs and sixth overall and earned bronze medal at last.
