The gunman who shot and killed five people in Denver on Monday night was identified as a former tattoo shop owner with a history of extremist views and psychiatric problems, according to authorities. What did the police say about the shooting rampage?
Although police did not provide a motive, they suspect McLeod was targeting the persons he shot at the tattoo parlors. McLeod allegedly fired rounds at six locations in Denver and the nearby suburb of Lakewood, according to police. Before he was shot, he left five people dead and three more wounded, including a police officer. McLeod sold his home to a man who said it was full of gun safes five years ago.
‘There were numerous hidden gun safes in the walls of this house,’ said Gabriel Thorn, speaking to KDVR.
‘He just disappeared off the face of the earth when we bought the house. My wife and I joke that he’s changed his name and moved out of the country.’
