The Unisa Council Bursary is presently accepting applications. The application deadline is May 31, 2022.
When using the bursary application platform, students are suggested to use Chrome and/or Internet Explorer. When contacting the university, students must use their myLife email account. Unisa Council has made funds available to help Unisa students in the following areas:
- Students who were unable to complete their education due to unpaid debt
- Students who are still in school but owe money
- NSFAS was unable to assist new students.
Students must apply and meet the following conditions to be considered for this bursary:
- Be a student from South Africa.
- To be eligible for a formal qualification, you must first register.
- A minimum of a 55 percent average is required.
Applications will be vetted by an outside service provider to ensure the accuracy of the information provided. To evaluate financial necessity, a means test will be performed. Forms that are not completely filled out will not be considered.

The goal of the postgraduate diploma and honors bursary is to assist South African Unisa alumni students with their Unisa tuition fees, allowing them to register and complete their degrees.
Financial assistance is available to both postgraduate diploma and honours students, depending on their eligibility, academic performance, and financial resources.
The CGS Postgraduate Bursaries Administration will meet to review applications and, in collaboration with the Division of Student Funding (DSF), determine the amount of funding provided to successful applicants. This is a definitive decision.
