Gilroy is a city with a population of about 50,000 situated in Santa Clara County. The city is famous for its garlic crops that have given it the nickname Garlic Capital of the world.

One of the main features of this park is the large lake that is a popular destination for fishing and boating. Anglers have a chance to reel in a variety of fish species, including black bass, Eurasian carp, and bluegill.

For hikers, there are over 30 miles of trails passing through the park. You’ll have the chance to spot wildlife, including black-tailed deer and wild turkeys. There are more than 200 species of birds in the park, as well.
