Who was 9-year old Lilia Valutyte? Before she was murdered, where did she live?

Lilia Valutyte was a 9-year-old high school student in Boston. Lillia was a lovely angel who was quiet and loved dancing. Lilia was discovered with a stab wound on Fountain Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire, at 6.20pm on Thursday, July 28. Lilia was reportedly found with a stab wound while playing with a hula hoop with her younger sister.

Marko Iosif, nine, was in the same class as Lillia and said she was “always really enthusiastic and always happy”. 

Marko’s father, Alin, said Lillia’s death was “terrifying” and “everyone is very scared”. He added that people “do not feel safe anymore” and parents are “scared to leave the kids in the street now”.

In remembrance of the schoolgirl, dozens of flowers and other memorials have been left at the intersection of Fountain Lane and Fountain Place.

People have also gathered to burn candles at the adjacent St Botolph’s church. The Rev Jane Robertson stated that the community was gathering to reflect on what had occurred.

In a touching Facebook tribute, family friend Jurate Matulioniene said Lilia ‘was a ray of the sunlight. The pain is unspeakable. Rest in peace, little angel’.

9-year old Lilia Valutyte was living with her Mother Lina Savicke, step father Aurelijus Savickas, 32 and younger sister whose name is unknown till now. Her mother’s Lina Savicke’s, Owner at Paradise Boston and Supervisor at MS Agricultural Service Limited. There is no information regarding her biological father. Her parents are being supported by specially trained officers, and we would urge for their privacy to be respected at this particularly difficult time. Their welfare continues to be a priority for us.

When and Where was the body of Lilia Valutyte found?

Little Lillia was reportedly stabbed around 6.20pm on July 28th while playing on the street with her sister outside her Lithuanian mother Lina Savicke’s embroidery and screen printing store on Fountain Lane in Boston.

Deividas Skebas comes from a family of Lithuanian “high class” and “business people.” He was studying in Lithuania when he came to work in England. He had left the UK due to health issues. He returned to Lithuania but recently returned to Boston. Skebas was dating 23-year-old Beata Sapuskaite. They recently split up after he left the UK due to health issues.

Skebas’s former girlfriend Beata Sapuskaite, 23, told The Times he had left the UK after having health problems. She also described Skebas’ family in Lithuania as ‘upper class’ and ‘business people’.

Deividas Skebas, 22, was accused Friday night with the girl’s murder outside her mother’s embroidery shop near the center of Boston, Lincolnshire, at around 6.20 p.m. last Thursday. Armed officers surrounded a neighboring property on Saturday, only four hours after Lincolnshire Police published CCTV footage of a man seen in the area immediately before the stabbing.

He was spotted standing impassively in the street, dressed in black tracksuit trousers with a white line design and a black hooded top, with his arms behind his back, as a cop held his arms behind his back.

In a statement, Lincolnshire police said: “We have this evening charged 22-year-old Deividas Skebas with the murder of nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte.” Skebas, a Lithuanian national of Thorold Street, Boston, is due to appear at Lincoln magistrates court on Monday.
