Tonny Vilhena was born on 3 January 1995 in Maassluis, Netherlands. The full name of the player is Tonny Emilio Trindade de Vilhena. He was known as “Tonny Trindade de Vilhena” early in his football career before changing his name to “Tonny Vilhena” in May 2012. The footballer was born to an angolan father and Dutch mother. He has a brother and a sister. Tonny holds the citizenship of both the Netherlands and Angola. He stands the tall height of 1.75 metre. 

Vilhena’s decision to stay at Feyenoord rather than move to Sampdoria in August 2015 was influenced by his mother’s illness. But later in 2016, his mother passed away due to the illness and in result he missed his two matches.
