On August 16, 2001, Jannik Sinner was born in San Candido, Italy. He is of Italian descent. Jannik educational background is yet to be confirmed. He is of European white origin and follows the Christian faith.

Sinner grew up in the largely German-speaking district of South Tyrol in northern Italy. As a kid, he enjoyed skiing, football, and tennis. Sinner switched his concentration to tennis at the age of thirteen after winning a national championship in skiing at the age of eight.
