Katherine Higgins is a British author, writer, presenter and expert who specialises in antiques and vintage, modern design and historic and vintage fashion. She presents ‘The Antiques Roadshow’ on BBC as well as `Priceless’, “Turn Back Time: The High Street” and ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’.

She also appears on other antiques show ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ where her passion for historic textiles, vintage fashion, collectables and Post-War design is revealed. In addition she appeared on the Roadshow’s sister series `Priceless’ and “Turn Back Time: The High Street”. She is also an expert voice on BBC local radio where she hosts regular valuation phone-ins.

Her other TV roles have included being a specialist reporter on The One Show (BBC 1), the collectables expert on three series of ITV’s Schofield’s Quest (with Philip Schofield), co-presenting the Indie award-nominated, Collectomania’ with Matthew Kelly, a 13-part series about collecting for TLC/Sky as well as being the collectables face of ITV’s `Christmas Show’. She has also worked extensively for Sky News. Katherine anchored two 10-part series – “The Victorians” and “Home Ground” for Channel 5.

Her first book, `Are You Rich?’ (published by Carlton Books, 1999) is now in its fifth edition and has just been fully revised and updated for 2011.
