She previously worked for ABC News based in Los Angeles, reporting for the network’s shows including “Good Morning America” and “World News Tonight,” and for ABC stations across the country with ABC NewsOne. Lauren was the network’s first correspondent on the ground during the breaking news of the Orlando Pulse nightclub terror attack, leading special report coverage from the scene.

In 2017, she received an Emmy Award as part of the breaking news team coverage of the massacre. Her reporting has taken her from Hurricane Matthew in Florida to wildfires in Southern California to tornadoes in Texas. She was anchoring the early morning network broadcast during the breaking news of the Brussels terror attack. She also worked as a video host and correspondent for Yahoo Finance, where she anchored a live daily show from the Nasdaq MarketSite, reported live during big IPOs such as Twitter and Alibaba, and interviewed newsmakers in the business world. She was also a senior equity analyst covering the retail sector at Tiburon Research Group in San Francisco.[6] She then worked as a video host and correspondent for Yahoo Finance where she anchored a live daily show on the Nasdaq.[4] She then worked as a correspondent and morning anchor at CBS News in New York before moving to Los Angeles where she worked for ABC News reporting for Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight.
