Bio and childhood of Michael Phelps
Michael Phelps was raised in Baltimore, Maryland to Michael Fred Phelps and Deborah Sue ‘ Debbie.’ He has two siblings of the elderly: Hilary and Whitney. While his dad was employed as a state troop, his mom was in the teaching field. Young Michael graduated from Towson High School with his education.
It was the
powerful athletic skills Fred gained by the kids quickly enough. At an early
era, Hilary, Whitney and Michael entered swimming. Although Hilary had
excellent commitment, she chose to leave the sport. Whitney took it a little
longer than her sibling, even attempting her luck in 1996 to be admitted to the
U.S. Olympic team. It was youthful Phelps, however, who not only took the sport
but excelled in it as well.
At the era
of seven, Phelps had to swim. He was initially afraid to put his nose in the
water, taking to float in the bath and no earlier mastering backstroke. He was
diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disease (ADHD) just when Phelps
seemed to get on with his anxiety. However, with the assistance of his mum
Debbie, he worked his way through the situation.

Diet Challenge of Phelps
It’s legendary how much Olympic swimmers eat. Back in 2008,
Lochte’s teammate and rival Michael Phelps— 21 gold medals and counting— made
headlines when he boasted his 12,000-calorie-a-day diet:
Breakfast: three fried-egg sandwiches with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. Two coffee cups. One omelet of five eggs. One grain bowl. Topped three French toast slices. Three pancakes with chocolate chips.
Lunch: Pasta one pound. Two large sandwiches of ham and cheese on white bread with mayonnaise plus energy drinks.
Dinner: a pound of pasta, a whole pizza and even more powerful drinks.
Although Phelps later admitted that the 12,000-calorie
figure was an exaggeration, it is true that swimmers at the Olympic level burn
about 3,000-10,000 calories a day depending on their workout intensity.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that Lochte and Phelps likes consume about 7-8,000
calories a day— four times the average adult male diet.
