Reasons why Ethan Crumbley, a Oxford HS student, was accused with terrorism

Ethan Crumbley, who is now in police custody, is suspected of shooting his father’s semi-automatic handgun which he bought on Black Friday. On Wednesday afternoon, he was charged and kept in the Oakland County Jail without bond. One case of terrorism, four charges of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, and 12 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of the crime will be filed against Mr Crumbley as an adult. Why did Ethan Crumbley parents schedule a school meeting one hour before the attacks?

Accused Ethan Crumbley, the shooter at Oxford High School, was hauled into the school with his parents just hours before the deadly assault for his “behavior in the classroom.”

Ethan’s parents are James and Jennifer Crumbley. Crumbley and his parents were hauled into the school on Tuesday to meet with administrators, a short time before he allegedly committed the shootings that left four students dead and seven others wounded, according to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

“We also were told that the school had some information or some kind of contact with the school,” Bouchard said at a press briefing.

“We have since learned that the school did have contact with the student the day before and the day of the shooting for behaviors in the classroom that they felt was concerning,” he said. “In fact, the parents were brought in the morning of the shooting and had a face-to-face meeting with the school. The content of that meeting of course is part of the investigation.”

Ethan Crumbley, 15, is accused of using his father’s pistol in a school shooting.

The Michigan high school shooting suspect is a bullied 15-year-old sophomore who now faces multiple first-degree murder and terrorism charges in the deadly Monday afternoon attack. His father purchased the 9mm Sig Sauer used in the shooting just four days earlier on Black Friday, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said Wednesday that her office is considering charges against both parents. She said Crumbley had been charged as an adult with murder, terrorism, assault and weapons possession charges.

Crumbley had posted photos of the gun, and him firing it, in the lead-up to the school shooting, the sheriff added. Investigators said they are still trying to determine a motive for the deadly shooting because the suspect isn’t speaking to them. However, some classmates have said Crumbley was bullied, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Who are Ethan Crumbley parents? Why Police raid Ethan’s family home?

Ethan’s parents are James and Jennifer Crumbley. His father works for an office software supply company, Autonomous, Inc. Jennifer Crumbley, Ethan Crumbley’s mother, worked as a real estate broker in the Oxford area, but her staff bio has since been removed. Despite his fondness for the Seattle Seahawks on social media, James’ posts were not overtly political.

Crumbley’s parents, James and Jennifer, are said to have advised their son not to speak to authorities after his arrest, according to investigators. Police must get permission from a juvenile’s parents or guardian in order to speak with them, Undersheriff Mike McCabe said. Police raided the family’s home, which is about two miles from the school, and seized several long guns from the house, the Daily Mail reported.

Authorities said late Tuesday they were made aware of social media posts saying there had been threats of a shooting at Oxford, but the sheriff said they didn’t know about the rumors until after the attack.

“Now I am becoming Death, the destroyer of worlds,” a since-deleted Instagram account bearing Crumbley’s name read, according to Fox 2 Detroit. “See you tomorrow, Oxford.”
